Sydney, Jan 3 (UNI) England all-rounder Ben Stokes revealed he never harboured ambition of leading England’s Test team, and backed Joe Root to continue as captain.
Root's captaincy has come under scanner after the England's horror show at the ongoing Ashes series. England is lagging 0-3 in the five match series.
"I've never really had an ambition to be a captain," Stokes told reporters at a conference.
