4th Ashes: Aus 265/6 d; Eng need 358 to win

Sydney, Jan 8 (UNI) Australia declared their innings at 256/6 and set a target of 388 runs on day four of the fourth Ashes Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday. In reply, England were 30 for no loss at stumps with Haseeb Hameed (8) and Zak Crawley (22) on the crease, needing 358 more runs to win.
Australia bundled out England for 294 in the morning session.
Jonny Bairstow (103) and Jack Leach (4) resumed England's innings from 258/7 but the hosts scalped three wickets within 10 overs to all-out the visitors.
Nathan Lyon dismissed Leach in the third over of the day and Scott Boland got rid of set batsman Bairstow for 113 and later removed Stuart Board for 15.

For Australia, Boland picked four wickets while Pat Cummins and Lyon claimed two wickets each. Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc got one each.
The Aussies lost two wickets early in their second innings with a lead of 122 runs.

After losing David Warner (3) and Marcus Harris (27), Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Simth kept England at bay as Australia went for lunch break at 66/2 with a 188-run lead.
Later, Wood dismissed Labuschagne for 29 and Leach bowled Smith for 23. Australia were 86/4.
Usman Khawaja and Green took charge and added 63 runs for the fifth wicket. Australia headed for tea at 149/4.
In the final session, Khawaja and Green continued piling runs but Leach broke the partnership. He dismissed Green for 74 and removed Alex Carey for first ball duck in the next delivery.
Khawaja's unbeaten 101 and Green's 74 gave Australia a healthy lead and they decided to declare the innings at 265/6 and set a target of 388 runs for England to win at the SCG.
For England, Leach scalped four wickets and Wood claimed two wickets.
