‘Titan Smart Labs' launched in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (UNI) Titan, a joint venture between the Tata Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), on Wednesday announced the launch of ‘Titan Smart Labs’, a dedicated engineering center to create innovative and diversified products to meet evolving consumer demands.
Speaking after inaugurating the center along with Titan Managing Director C. K. Venkataraman, Titan CEO (watches and Wearable) Suparna Mitra and Raj Neravati Head of Product and Technology, Watches & Wearables here, Telangana Principal Secretary for Information Technology Jayesh Ranjan, said big organizations are willing to set up their facilities in Hyderabad as we provide better infrastructure and offer a large talent pool of resources which are better than most of the other metros, especially Bangalore.
He said there are a lot of companies that are starting small but due to the facilities that Hyderabad is providing, they are able to expand their operations.
Tatas are very deeply entrenched with the Telangana government and it is one of the biggest companies in India, Ranjan said.
The interesting fact is that after Jamshedpur, in terms of workforce, the largest number of Tata employees are stationed in Hyderabad, he added.
Being a leader in the Smart segment, Titan aims to lead the innovation path for new-age India.
Titan's multi-year vision is to expand its world-class engineering capabilities and develop innovative next-generation products powered by in-house designs and backed by more than three decades of consumer service experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Suparna Mitra, said “Titan is stepping up rapidly with an ambitious vision to become the definitive leader in the smart wearable and hearable industry.
We intend to deliver products beyond lifestyle and make a meaningful impact on consumers,” she added.
Raj Neravati, said, “Titan Smart Labs will aim to drive technological advances powered by in-house experts in Hardware, PCB Design, Algorithms, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
This office is set up in the utmost non-traditional working space format with sleeping pods, a basketball court, an ideation room, and a casual cafeteria to bring freshness and vibe to the working place.
The total employment - 80 as of now and our projection shows that it is going to be tripled.
Our Revenue growth is 5x when compared to last year. Products in our portfolio at Titan Smart Labs are Smart watches, Smart clock, Neck bands & TWS ( Truly Wireless) , he added.
