Tea Board to mark 3rd Int. Tea Day Sunday for promotion

Kolkata, May 20 (UNI) A massive promotional campaign through newspapers, radio, SMS messages and the social media will mark the third International Tea Day to be celebrated by the Tea Board on May 21, an official said on Friday.

The day's objective is to raise awareness as well as celebrate the second most consumed beverage in the world after water – tea, a spokesperson of the Tea
Board here said.
"Tea Board is looking to leverage the considerable reach of its social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, which have a substantial follower base, to increase awareness about the different types and varieties of Indian tea," she said.
Activities such as ‘My Special Cup of India Tea Contest’ and ‘The India Tea Song Composing Competition’ are aimed at enhancing user engagement and increasing excitement among social media users about Indian tea.
A seminar in hybrid mode in collaboration with Indian Tea Association and other stakeholders of Indian tea Industry has been scheduled on the day.
A special tea plucking (limited edition) activity is also being organised by Tea Board in various tea gardens to mark the day.,The participating tea gardens will organize the plucking of green leaves of highest quality (two leaves and a bud) to commemorate International Tea Day. MET City of RIL garners Rs 1,913 crore from booking of plots in 2023-24

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Reliance Model Economic Township (MET City), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, on Tuesday said the total number of plots booked during 2023-24 stood at 1079 across all segments resulting in a booking value of Rs 1,913 crore, 60 per cent jump over previous year.
