Mumbai, Nov 10 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday remained life time high for another day on Tuesday, as it surged by 680.22 pts, breaching 43K level at 43,277.65 on the strength of Bankex, Finance, Realty and Capital Goods stocks amid positive Asian Market.
The Nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 170.05 pts at 12,631.10.
Investor sentiment got a major boost after Pfizer said its experimental Covid-19 vaccine was more than 90 per cent effective based on initial trial results.
The day opened on a strong note at 42,959.25 pts, up by 362 pts. During the day it spurted by 719 pts to 43,316.44, days high, before closing at 43,277.65, advancing by 680.22 pts from its previous close.
The sectoral indices that kept the market strong for another day were Bankex, Finance, Realty, Oil and Gas and Industrials stocks.
The scrips that sparkled today were Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, L& T, Bajaj Finserv and HDFC.
The sensex registered days high and low at 43,316.44 and 42,660.09 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 12,643.90 and 12,475.25 pts respectively.
However, the Mid Cap fell by 0.10 pc and Small Cap by 0.48 pc.
In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.
