Sensex surges 462.26 pts

Mumbai, Jun 24 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Friday spurted 462.26 pts to close at 52,727.98 following gains in Telecom, Auto, Utilities and Power stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose 142.60 pts at 15,699.25.
The Sensex registered the
day's high and low at 52,909.87 and 52,447.25 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded the day's high and low at 15,749.32 and 15,619.45 respectively.
