Telangana: COWE inaugurates 15th Aveksha day care centre for industrial workers

Hyderabad, July 24 (UNI) COWE inaugurated its 15th Aveksha daycare centre for industrial workers at Gajularamaram, outskirts of the city on Wednesday.
With the Partnership of SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) ,, COWE (Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs)will be setting up 20 daycare centres across the Telangana state.
Aveksha is a National Project by COWE & SIDBI and is not just limited to Telangana.
After completing the 20 centres in Telangana, the vision is to have Aveksha centres across INDIA.
The new centre was inaugurated by SR Meena, General Manager, PDI, SIDBI, the Principal Financial Institution for the Promotion, Financing and Development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector.
The Impact of the 14 centres set up so far at various industrial areas in the city, has been that at least 250 women have been financially empowered, and 60 percent of these could take up jobs for the first time, purely because of this facility, a release said here.
Aveksha, which means ‘To Take Care Of’ is a daycare facility meant for children of women workers, especially in the industrial sector and the underprivileged sections of society.
It is supported by SIDBI towards operation costs and by CSR of private corporations towards infrastructure.
The centres are equipped with CCTV to monitor day-to-day activities and necessary amenities have been provided to create a joyful learning environment that encourages the toddlers to enjoy their stay throughout the day.
