Lucknow, Oct 6 (UNI) After the Corona epidemic, now the economic activities in Uttar Pradesh have gained momentum.
Due to the steps taken to bring the economic activities of the state back on track under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the Corona epidemic, due to the increase in the economic activities of UP, the revenue of the government has increased.
According to the officials of the Finance Department here on Wednesday, due to the efforts of the State Government, Rs 2012.73 crore more revenue has been received as compared to last September. In the year 2020-21, a total revenue of Rs 11538.16 crore has been received in the main non-tax revenue items in September. In September in 2020-21, a revenue of Rs 9525.43 crore was received.
State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna released the figures of increase in the economic activities of the state and in the revenue of the government.
According to these figures, revenue of Rs 4290.92 crore has been received in the state under GST in September 2021, while Rs 3680.20 crore was received in September last year. In September 2021, revenue from VAT was Rs 2200.40 crore. It was Rs 1653.88 crore last year.
Similarly, in September, Rs 2559.85 crore revenue has been received in the Excise Department. Whereas in September last year Rs 2140.61 crore was received. The revenue receipt for September 2021 under stamp and registration has been Rs 1801.30 crores while Rs 1429.00 crore was received in last September. The revenue receipt of September in transport is Rs 520.12 crores as compared to Rs 439.41 crores received in September last year.
Finance Minister Mr Khanna attributes the increase in the revenue of the state to the decisions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to Mr Khanna, to curb the corona epidemic this year, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath decided to impose partial corona curfew in the state instead of lockdown to save the life and livelihood of people from corona. Due to which lakhs of daily wage earners, street shopkeepers, daily laborers and factories working in the state did not face any crisis of livelihood and economic activities continued in the state.
This time in April, eight and a half times the revenue was received as compared to the lockdown imposed last year due to economic work being done in the state. The state government received revenue of Rs 11196.49 crore in the main heads of non-tax revenue in the month of April, which is 85 percent of the monthly target and Rs 9898.44 crore more than the corresponding month of last year. In the same sequence, revenue of Rs 11164.11 crore was received in June of the financial year 2021-22, while Rs 9034.83 crore was received in June of the year 2020-21. This trend of increase in revenue is continuing in the state, and it is because of the decisions taken by the Chief Minister.
