TheraNym Biologics to set up Rs 1,200-cr manufacturing facility in Telangana; 1,500 jobs to be created

Sangareddy (Telangana), June 3 (UNI) Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu along with Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of Theranym Biologics at Borpatla village in Hatnoora mandal of Sangareddy district.

The facility will be established with an investment of Rs 1,200 crore and is expected to significantly strengthen Telangana's position as a global hub for life sciences and biotechnology, according to officials.
Tthe upcoming plant will manufacture advanced medicines used in the treatment of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The products will cater to both domestic and international markets, including the United States and other major global destinations.
The project is expected to generate around 1,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a major boost to the local economy and creating skilled jobs in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu said Telangana continues to attract major investments in life sciences owing to its industry-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure and strong innovation ecosystem.
He noted that the establishment of the Theranym Biologics facility would further enhance the global reputation of the "Made in Telangana" brand and reinforce the state's leadership in the life sciences sector.
The project is expected to contribute significantly to Telangana's growing biotechnology ecosystem while supporting the state's vision of becoming a leading destination for high-value pharmaceutical and biologics manufacturing, he added.
