Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K.T Rama Rao has said that the entry of Goldman Sachs into Hyderabad would further augment the already strong fintech ecosystems in the city.
On Thursday, Goldman Sachs, the US-based global investment bank and financial services player, in an official statement during interaction with the Minister through virtual meeting, announced to open a second India office in Hyderabad after Bengaluru by H2 of 2021 with about 500 employees and room for future growth.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the Minister, while welcoming one of the leading global investment banks ‘ Goldman Sachs’ to Hyderabad, thanked Goldman Sachs India leadership team Chairman Sanjoy Chatterjee, Managing Director and India Head Gunjan Samtani and Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer Ravi Krishnan for choosing Hyderabad.
The fact that Hyderabad continues to attract investments from marquee companies amidst a pandemic is a testimony to the city’s resilience and the competitive advantage it offers, Mr Rao said.
