Rupees 27.68 cr spent under MNREGA in Hamirpur during the financial year 2021-22 so far: DC

Hamirpur (HP), Sep 29 (UNI) During the financial year 2021-22 in the district, so far more than 27 crores 68 lakh rupees have been spent under MNREGA.

This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Debashweta Banik while presiding over the review meeting of the schemes of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the conference hall of District Rural Development Agency on Tuesday.

She informed that a total of 3,155 development works have been started in the district through MNREGA during this financial year, out of which 262 works have also been completed.

To ensure maximum employment in rural areas, Mastrols are being issued regularly in all the 248-gram panchayats of the district. In September itself, 1642 mastrollsols have been issued. The Deputy Commissioner said that MNREGA workers are being paid on time.

The rate of payment in the district in this financial year is about 98 percent, which is higher than the state average. He said that all BDOs should also focus on the geo-tagging of assets built under MNREGA.

While reviewing the water conservation works and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, the Deputy Commissioner said that water conservation works in the district could be accelerated through MGNREGA. Special emphasis should be given to these works in every Panchayat.
She said that so far parks are being developed at 17 places in the district under the Panchavati scheme and plantation is being done in them.

Under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, funds have been sanctioned for the construction of houses for 80 poor families in the district in this financial year.
During the meeting, the Swachh Bharat Mission, Rural Livelihood Mission, development works, and other schemes released from the funds of the 14th and 15th Finance Commission were also reviewed.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to give impetus to these schemes.
