Adani sets up oxygen plants at Tilda and Kharora health centres in Raipur

Raipur, Jan 13 (UNI) In what would help district administration beef up health infrastructure in the locality during the ongoing third wave of Covid-19, Adani Power has set up two oxygen plants at Tilda and Kharora community health centres (CHCs) in Raipur.

Given the shortage of oxygen witnessed earlier, Adani group firm Raipur Energen Ltd and corporate social responsibility arm Adani Foundation had decided to set up the plants.

Established with an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore, the plants are now ready to supply oxygen. The company management has transferred the responsibility of managing and operating the two plants to the district health authorities.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Meera Baghel appreciated the efforts of the power company in strengthening the health infrastructure in the area.

Dr Baghel said that the two oxygen plants would help the administration fight the third wave of Coronavirus and people in the area would now not need to travel to Raipur to get medical help.

She also mentioned about the support provided by Raipur Energen during the second wave in terms of providing ICU beds and other necessary equipment.
