New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) Bollywood actor Akshay Oberoi’s horror film ‘Pizza’, that acquired a cult status with time has recently marked eight years.
Directed by Akshay Akkineni, the film stars Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Dipannita Sharma in the lead roles, while Arunoday Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Omkar Das Manikpuri and Sonali Sachdev play supporting roles.
Going down memory lane, Akshay shared what it was like headlining a horror film.
"When the film was offered to me everything about it intrigued me. I was happy that it gave me the opportunity to attempt the horror genre. It was all kinds of new and exciting for me. What I love about ‘Pizza’ is that it was nothing like the horror films that were being made at the time. A big thanks to everyone who made it special,” Akshay said in a statement.
‘Pizza’ tells the story of a delivery boy Kunal (played by Oberoi) whose mundane life takes a horrifying turn when he is off to deliver a pizza to the home of a family with a dark secret. The plot of the film hangs on the suspense of whether or not Kunal overcomes the apparent evil that lurks in the shadows.
On the work front, he will next be seen in projects such as ‘Gaslight’ along with Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh, Varchasva along with Ravi Kishan and Tridha Choudhary and a social satire titled Ek Kori Prem Katha.
