Bhopal, July 12 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Sunday that the novel coronavirus pandemic has dealt a body blow to street vendors but his dispensation stands alongside them as a pillar of support in this hour of unprecedented crisis.
“Our state is numero uno vis-à-vis implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atma Nirbhar Nidhi scheme whose cherished objective is to assist hawkers in continuing and enhancing their trades. Maximum benefit will be provided to vegetable and tea sellers, those managing snack shops, doing tailoring, etc so that they are saved from the crushing burden of paying interest on loans,” the senor politician was officially quoted as saying while interacting with vendors via videoconferencing from Mantralaya.
