Shimla, Aug 7 (UNI) Newly inducted Himachal Pradesh Minister for Power and Multiple Purpose Project Sukh Ram Chaudhary tested positive for novel Coronavirus.
The Minister himself made the announcement through a tweet on Friday.
In his social media post, Mr Chaudhary who is three-time member of Assembly from Paontasahib in Sirmuar district, said that he tested positive for nCoV.
The Minister had home quarantined himself on Tuesday as he had come in contact with some outside residents.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Mr Amit Kashyap also confirmed the Development, adding that private secretary of Minister and BJP Youva Morcha leader also tested positive for nCoV who came in contact with the Minister.
The Minister said that all those who came in his contact recently should isolate them and under go test for the COVID-19.
Mr Chaudhary said that he got symptomatic for the virus three days ago,went into quarantine and got Covid test done.
Th Deputy Commissioner said that entire premises of the Minister has been sealed and contact tracing is being conducted by the Administration.
Mr Chaudhary's two daughters, former president of BJP Youva Morcha Mr Sunil Thakur and Private secretary of Minister Mr Somu Chaudhary also tested positive for the COVID-19 along with him, a government official said.
