Birmingham, Jun 19 (UNI) Brilliant knock by captain Kane Williamson 106 off 138 and Colin de Grandhomme's quickfire 60 off 47 helped New Zealand beat South Africa by four wickets in a nail-biting World Cup match here at Edgbaston on Wednesday.

Earlier, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first.

The crucial innings by Van der Dussen 67 off 64 , Hashim Amla 55 off 83 and important cameos by Aiden Markram 38 off 55, David Miller 36 off 37 helped South Africa to put up a fighting total of 241/6 in 49 overs.

In reply, New Zealand chased down the target in 48.3 overs losing 6 wickets.

With this win New Zealand moved to the top of Points Table with 9 points in 5 matches of the ongoing World Cup.
