New word called ‘Modilie’ has become an official word in English dictionary: Rahul

New word called ‘Modilie’ has become an official word in English dictionary: Rahul

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, charging Mr Modi of resorting to lies, claimed that ‘Modilie’ had become an official word in an English dictionary that meant ‘to constantly modify the truth’, ‘to lie incessantly and habitually’ and ‘to lie without respite’.

In a post on social media, Rahul said, ’’There’s a new word in the English Dictionary”and shared a screenshot of the dictionary.

According to the screenshot shared by Rahul, ‘Modilie’ has become an official word in an English dictionary. And it means: ‘To constantly modify the truth’; ‘to lie incessantly and habitually’; and ‘to lie without respite’.

A simple search on the said dictionary, however, showed no results, indicating that the reference to the word by Rahul in his tweet was meant to be a jibe at Mr Modi, who he and the Congress party have charged of lying on several counts, including the promises made by him during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
