Siliguri, Jan 01 (UNI) A newly introduced weekly express train between Silghat (Assam) to Kolkata was being flagged off today heralding a new dimension in connecting railways between two neighbouring states of eastern part of the country.
The train is expected to be greatly beneficial for improving the trade and commerce of the middle Assam areas apart from improving the communication with rest of the country, NFR officials explained.
The new train will compose of 19 new model LHB coaches having modern amenities and facilities for passenger.
