Mangaluru, Feb 26 (UNI) Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Ramesh Pokhriyal has said that the 'New Education Policy' would help India emerge as a ‘Vishwa Guru’.
"Though India has over 1,000 Universities, 45,000 degree colleges, 16 lakh schools, over one crore teachers and 33 crore students, which is more than the population of the USA, it has not achieved success in imparting value education,' Mr Pokhriyal said while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Central Research Facilities (CRF) and Centre of Excellence (CoE) building to mark National Institute of Technology Karnataka’s (NITK) diamond jubilee year here on Tuesday night.
Mr Pokhriyal said the New Education Policy will bring a positive change in the life of people and India will be conferred with the title of 'Vishwa Guru' (the reformer and teacher to the world).
