Netherland delegation appreciates e-NAM systems

Karnal, June 29 (UNI) A delegation of World Union of Wholesale Market, Netherland led by
Executive Secretary, Nathalia and Chief Administrator, Mairina on Friday visited Anaj Mandi in Karnal and appreciated the e-National Agriculture Market(e-NAM) system of the Haryana Government for the facility of farmers.

The delegation is in India regarding the preparations of 33rd World Conference of Wholesale Market to be hosted by Haryana from October 10 to 13 in Gurugram. The conference would be organised with a view to increase the income of farmers, in which 30 countries of the world would participate along with Agriculture Ministers of all the states of India.

The delegation was informed that under e-NAM system, 54 Mandis of the state have been linked in the first phase and later, all mandis of the state would be linked. The Delegation was of the view that such system is beneficial for the farmers and would help in improving their economic condition.

NSF calls 6-hour Nagaland bandh to protest CAB

Kohima, Dec14 (UNI) Normal life came to a halt this morning throughout Nagaland following a lightening call for a six-hour state-wide total bandh by the apex student body, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) to express resentment of the Naga people against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), which it said, was passed in the Parliament much against the interests and the sentiments of the indigenous people in the North East states.
