(Rptng, with corrections in story)
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 24 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday urged MPs from the state to take up with the Centre about the death of eight tourists in Nepal and ensure adequate compensation to the bereaved families.
In a meeting with the MPs from the State, the Chief Minister said the Centre should persuade Nepal government to conduct a detailed probe into the death of eight Keralites and ensure adequate compensation to their families.
Though Kerala had sent a letter to the Centre in this regard, a detailed request in connection with the tragedy will be sent to the Union Government later, Mr Vijayan said.
