Kabul/Kathmandu, Jan 16 (UNI) Nepal on Sunday handed over 14 tonnes of humanitarian assistance comprising medicine, clothes, and utensils among others, to UN representatives based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
A team led by Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sewa Lamsal, flew to Kabul in a chartered flight of Himalayan Airlines on Sunday morning for the purpose.
Nepal’s Foreign Ministry said in a tweet: “Sewa Lamsal, joint secretary of Nepal MoFa, hands over humanitarian assistance from Nepal to Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov, Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and the Humanitarian & Development Coordinator for Afghanistan, at Kabul airport.”
