Nepal registers 144 new cases of COVID-19, tally now 16,945

Kathmandu, Jul 13(UNI) Nepal's Ministry of Health and Population said on Monday that 144 new cases of COVID-19 surfaced in the past 24 hours, taking the country's tally to 16,945.
Among the new cases six are from Province 1; 41 from Province 2; 13 from Bagmati Province; 8 from Gandaki Province; 14 from Province 5; 46 from Karnali Province; and 16 from Sudurpaschim Province, The Himalayan Times reported.
During the same period 1,705 people were also discharged from hospitals across the country after they made a full recovery from COVID-19. With this the total number of recoveries in the country has reached 10,294.
