Kathmandu, Dec 14 (UNI) The Nepal government has banned Indian currency of all denominations above rupees 100 in the country.
The decision of not to use the Indian currency of 200, 500 and 2000 denominations follows a recent meeting of the Council of Ministers.
“The government has decided to publish a notice not to use, carry and keep the Indian bills of 200, 500 and 2000 denominations,” Government Spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Gokul Banskota was quoted as saying by the Kathmandu Post.
