Nepal approves emergency use of SII's Covishield vaccine

Kathmandu, Jan 15 (UNI) The Nepal government has approved the emergency use of Serum Institute of India's COVID-19 vaccine, media reports said on Friday.
The India-based company had collaborated with Oxford University and pharmaceutical company Astra Zeneca for making the vaccine.
India had on January 3 given emergency use authorization to two vaccines.
The Nepal's drug regulator had on Wednesday called for vaccine manufacturers to register their products for usage in the country.
