NEP is going to give emphasis to all local languages : Pradhan

Shillong, May 21 (UNI) Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said that the National Education Policy (NEP) is going to give emphasis and importance to all the local languages.

“All local languages are national languages, be it Khasi, Garo, Jaintia, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, etc. Prime Minister Narendra Modiji reemphasized that all languages are national languages of India,” Pradhan said during the course of his address at the 27th convocation of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) on Saturday at the university campus here in Meghalaya.
