NEHU to set up Russian language centre in Meghalaya

Shillong, July 9 (UNI) North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), a central varsity in Meghalaya, would soon establish a Russian Language Centre and explore avenues for future collaboration in education, research, and student mobility.
The proposal was made during a virtual meeting between NEHU and Russian institutions and aims to deepen strategic partnership to further strengthen Indo-Russian academic cooperation, NEHU Vice Chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla said.
Shukla said the proposed centre hopes to provide language instruction and cultural understanding, empowering students to stand shoulder to shoulder with their global counterparts.
