NEHU ranks high in prestigious Nature Index Rankings 2020

Shillong, Jun 5 (UNI) The North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong has been ranked number 40 (forty) among the higher educational institutions in the Academic Sector by the prestigious Nature Index for the year 2020, a varsity official said on Friday.
The 2020 tables are based on Nature index data from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. Each year, the Nature Index publishes rankings based on counts of high-quality research outputs, and is the indicator for international research performance. “Springer Nature” publishes top academia journals and Nature Index data and methods are very transparent and have high international credibility.
The ranking table by Nature Index are computed subject-wise taking into account all subjects/journals and here too NEHU has obtained high rankings among the institutions in India. Chemistry in NEHU has ranked 31 while Life Sciences at 42 and Physical Sciences at 51.
