Lucknow, Jun 4 (UNI) Asserting that there was a need for 1974-like movement launched by Jayaprakash Narayan, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ram Govind Chaudhary on Thursday said that the Centre and the state were erasing workers, labourers, unemployed people, farmers and the poor in the name of the fight against the coronavirus.
The Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly alleged here that with their unplanned and arbitrary decisions, the governments were pushing the common man every day towards death. The country has reached a turn of economic destruction and hence, there should be a student youth movement even bigger than 1974 today.
The SP leader appealed to the students and youngsters to reminisce 'Lok Nayak' Jayaprakash Narayan on the Sampoorna Kranti Divas on June 5 and prepare for a bigger movement to protect unemployed people, farmers and poor persons while complying with the lockdown rules.
