Puducherry, Nov 13 (UNI) Two teams of the National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) arrived here on Tuesday morning to tackle any eventuality arising out of the Gaja Cyclone threatening Tamilnadu and Puducherry.
"NDRF from its base at Arkonam, in Tamilnadu arrived here today and one team was deployed for Karaikal region while keeping the other here," official sources said.
Meanwhile, the Puducherry administration has made all precautionary measures to tackle the cyclone and chief minister V Narayansmay today convened a meeting of senior officials of the administration to review the preparedness to tackle the cyclone.
