NDCRTC to train 2000 policemen in cyber crime

Hyderabad, Oct 29 (UNI) The National Digital Crime Resource and Training (NDCRTC) at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVP NPA)in Hyderabad , one of the most modern cyber Forensic training laboratory of the country equipped with latest disk and mobile forensic , will train policemen in investigation cyber crime, which is a major challenger in the country, by December this year.
The training which make trainees capable of handling tech driver criminals, was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs, M. Venkaiah Naidu in July last year.
The Centre will train 2,000 policemen over the next two years in cyber crime wing.
Addressing a press conference, Police Academy Director Aruna Bhauguna said the 67the Batch of Indian Police Service (IPS) officer trainees passing out scheduled to be held on october 31 at campus will became the first batch to be trained by NDCRTC in cyber crime investigation.
The batch consists of 141 IPS officer trainees along with 16 foreign officers of which 28 lady officer trainees including 2 lady foreign officer Trainees took part in the Dikshant parade .Among the 15 foreign officers, 6 officers are from Royal Bhutan Police, 5 from nepal Police and 4 from maldives, the officer said.
