NDA legislators hold meeting in view of ongoing state legislature`s budget session

Patna, Feb 11 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held a meeting of his cabinet colleagues, NDA MLAs and MLCs to formulate strategy for countering the opposition`s attack and highlighting government`s achievements during the ongoing state legislature`s budget session.
The first day of the budget session concluded after the Governor Lalji Tandon`s address to the joint session of both houses of the state legislature, presentation of Economic Survey and obituary references today.
Since the budget session is likely to be stormy with opposition making up its mind to target the government on various issues including alleged rising crime graph, NDA leaders discussed how to counter the attack.
The NDA legislators asserted that the government was ready to debate and discuss any matter that the opposition wanted to raise but was apprehensive whether it will allow state assembly and state legislative council to function.
Besides Mr Kumar, deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, state water resources minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, state energy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, road construction minister Nand Kishore Yadav , state parliamentary affairs minister Shravan Kumar, state LJP president and animal and fisheries resources minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, JD (U) deputy leader in Bihar Assembly and former minister Shyam Rajak and other prominent NDA leaders were present in the meeting.
Earlier, Mr Kumar, also JD (U) president also held meeting with his party legislators in view of ongoing state legislature`s budget session.
