NDA Inland Enterprise class concludes in Pune

Pune, June 9 (UNI) The seventh edition of prestigious NDA Inland Enterprise Class Regatta, held at Khadakwasla Lake, concluded here on Friday.
The event was organised as part of the 75 Glorious Years Celebrations of NDA and Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, AVSM, NM, Commandant of NDA was the Chief Guest for the event.
With 82 teams and 164 participants, including civilian and service clubs, the event brought together a diverse group of enthusiastic sailors from across the country.
The regatta witnessed fierce competition and outstanding performances, with Army Yachting Node securing the first and second positions, and Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre, Kochi claiming the third position.
The NDA team, consisting of Cadet Jasmine and Udita Haldi, emerged as the Best Women's Team, with Cadet Jasmine becoming the first female cadet to excel in a national event.
The event also welcomed the participation of 12 children below the age of 12, showcasing the regatta's commitment to nurturing young talent.
The regatta participants were also fortunate to meet and interact with Cdr Abhilash Tomy, KC, NM (Retd), who completed the Golden Globe Race 22, securing the second position after a gruelling 238 days and 14 hours of solo circumnavigation.
His presence added an inspiring touch to the event, as he shared his remarkable journey and experiences with the participants.
