NDA ahead in arithmetic of votes as opposition lacks direction: RJD

Patna, Oct 17 (UNI) RJD vice president Shivanand Tiwari today admitted that NDA was
able to maintain its lead in arithmetic votes as the opposition parties had yet to give a
direction to their politics.
Mr Tiwari sarcastically said here that basic issues like employment and poverty were
missing from the agenda of NDA governments but it was true it was ahead in vote politics.
He said Opposition parties should be given credit for such a situation as it was pursuing
politics, bereft of any direction.
RJD vice president said he had visited various villages for two days during campaigning
for by election to Daraunda assembly seat in Siwan district but much to his shock, he found
that migrant workers from weaker castes were returning to their native places.
He said it was happening due to closure of factories outside the state. Hunger was clearly
visible on the faces of people.
Mr Tiwari said victory or defeat in vote politics had its own arithmetic but it could not
eradicate problem of people adding BJP still lacked adequate support base so that it
could form government on its own strength in Bihar.
After BJP chief Amit Shah`s statement, it had now become clear that BJP would contest
next state assembly election under the leadership of chief minister Nitish Kumar, he added.
