NCW asks actor Payal Ghosh to file complaint against Anurag Kashyap with it

NCW asks actor Payal Ghosh to file complaint against Anurag Kashyap with it

New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma on Sunday said she will look into actor Payal Ghosh's tweet complaining about alleged sexual assault by director Anurag Kashyap in 2014-15.
The NCW chief said she had asked the actor to file a detailed complaint for her to look to the matter and take up
the issue with the police.
Ms Sharma, in a WhatsApp video, said she got to know about the alleged assault after the actor tweeted about
it. She shared the link of the process to file a complaint with the NCW, and added that the organisation will
look into the matter.
Payal on Saturday shared a video of her interview with a regional news channel, where she reportedly made
the charge of the incident that occurred around 2014-15. She claimed that the director called had asked her to
a room and then sought sexual favours from her.
Kashyap has brushed aside the allegations, terming them "baseless and lies" and an attempt to silence
him.
