NCP student leader ups anti-India, anti-AL rhetoric, claims 'conspiracy' to derail stability

Dhaka, Dec 13 (UNI) Amplifying his anti-India rhetoric, student leader and NCP chief Nahid Islam alleged that New Delhi was masterminding a conspiracy to undermine socio-political stability in Bangladesh, ever since the ouster of the Awami League regime led by Sheikh Hasina in August 2024.
Making his remarks in a joint party meeting at the Chief Advisor' residence after the shooting of Inqilab Moncha leader Sharif Osman Haidi, the NCP leader claimed that certain as-of-yet-unknown groups have been actively carrying out various activities in order to undermine the July Uprising, who were "either or jointly linked to the leadership of the ousted Awami League, and the Indian government".
"There is an organised campaign against July. This is happening across different layers of the media and administration. Those who come to power after the election will also be victims of this. No one will be able to run the government alone," he said.
