Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) Soon after the Election Commission announced the date for the assembly election in Maharashtra on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (AP) president Ajit Pawar affirmed that his party is fully prepared for the election.
Taking to social media platform X minutes after EC announced the poll date, he said, "Our development record is testimony to our commitment to the welfare of the people of Maharashtra."
Exuding confidence in his development work and governance record, he posted, "Our work is before the people of Maharashtra -- our historic budget, our development record, the welfare schemes like Ladki Bahin Yojana, three free household cylinders for women, electricity bill waiver for farmers."
Reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Jyotiba Phule and Dr B R Ambedkar, he underlined the NCP is dedicated to ensuring everyone’s welfare and uplifting the poor.
Telling the party workers to be ready for poll battle, Pawar said, "we have worked tirelessly to ensure that our schemes reach people and now it’s time for us to go to the people with folded hands and ask for their vote."
The polling for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra will be held on November 20 and the results will be declared on November 23, before end of the tenure of state assembly on November 26.
