Raipur, Jul 2 (UNI) As many as 73 persons tested positive for Coronavirus in Chhattisgarh during last 24 hours whereas 59 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on Thursday.
According to information received from health department, 73 new Coronavirus positive patients included 18 in Raipur district, 12 in Bemetara, 10 in Jagdalpur, 7 in Balrampur, 5 in Janjgir, 4 in Dantewada, 3 in Sarguja and 1 each in Korba, Raigarh, Mungeli, Kanker and Balod. Process of their admission to hospitals is underway. Meanwhile 59 Coronavirus patients who were undergoing treatment in various COVID hospitals of the state were discharged after recovery.
Total 166656 suspected Coronavirus patients were identified in the state so far and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Of them, total 3013 samples were found positive for Coronavirus. Presently, 637 active Coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the state while 2362 patients have so far been discharged from hospitals after recovery. Coronavirus also caused 14 deaths in the state so far.
