nCoV: 34 more fatalities, 2,766 new infections in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Aug 14 (UNI) The deaths related to the novel coronavirus reached 3,591 in Bangladesh on Friday as the
country recorded 34 more fatalities from the virus in the past 24 hours.
A total of 2,766 people newly contracted the deadly virus, taking the country's tally to 2,71,881, the Directorate General of Health Services said in a press release.

Dhaka, Sept 30 (UNI) Freeing Khaleda Zia is the only objective of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), said BNP's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

While addresing a virtual discussion on Wednesday afternoon, he said: "At the moment it should be our only aim to free the country's leader who had struggled throughout her life for establishing democracy. Democracy needs to be restored and party's acting chairman Tarique Rahman, who is now in UK, needs to be brought back to the country".

The BNP leader called for withdrawing 'false cases' filed against 35 lakh activists as well as freeing those who are in jails across the country now.
