nCoV: 184 new patients found in Chhattisgarh, 83 discharged

Raipur, Jul 12 (UNI) Chhattisgarh registered a record 184 new Coronavirus positive cases

during the last 24 hours. Meanwhile 83 patients were discharged from hospitals after

recovery while Coronavirus caused death of two patients.

According to information received from health department out of 184 new positive patients,

highest 99 belong to Raipur whereas 17 patients were found in Janjgir, 15 in Durg, 10 in

Rajnandgaon, 9 in Kanker, 8 in Balod, 5 in Sarguja, 3 each in Baloda-Bazaar, Bilaspur,

Koriya, Bastar and Narayanpur, 2 in Dhamtari and 1 each in Gariaband, Kawardha, Raigarh

and Balrampur. With 184 new patients the state witnessed biggest single day spike in

Coronavirus cases. Meanwhile 83 patients who were undergoing treatment in various COVID

hospitals of the state were discharged after recovery. Coronavirus also led to death of a

patient from Durg and a 41-year old youth in Raipur Medical College Hospital.

Total 209864 suspected Coronavirus patients were identified in the state and their samples

were sent to labs for testing. Of them 4081 samples tested positive for Coronavirus.

Presently 909 active Coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of

the state while 3153 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery so far.

Coronavirus also caused 19 deaths in the state so far.

The deceased was identified as Hinauta Ranger BR Bhagat.
