NCC expands footprint, sets up new state directorates in Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand

New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) The National Cadet Corps (NCC) has established two new independent State Directorates in Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, a move aimed at strengthening the organisation's administrative framework and expanding opportunities for youth participation in the country's premier uniformed youth movement.
The approval, granted by the Headquarters Directorate General NCC, raises the total number of NCC State Directorates from 17 to 19, marking a significant organisational expansion designed to bring the institution closer to cadets and educational institutions across the two states.
According to an official statement issued on Monday, the creation of separate directorates will facilitate more focused coordination, improved supervision and enhanced support for training and developmental activities. The move is expected to improve access to NCC programmes, strengthen training infrastructure and create greater opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, discipline and a spirit of national service.
