Srinagar, Jul 16 (UNI) Terming the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) government’s decision to close many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) 'shocking and unfair', the National Conference (NC) said this will add to soaring unemployment numbers.
Principal Secretary to Lt Governor Bipul Pathak in an order issued on July 14, 2020 has ordered closure or merger of five PSUs and corporations in the UT.
Reacting to the order, the NC spokesman on official twitter account of the party said, “J&K government’s decision to close many PSUs is shocking. Instead of creating new jobs, JK administration seems adamant in adding to soaring unemployment numbers by terminating scores of existing government employees. This order is unfair and must be rescinded.”
