NC, PDP express disappointment over SC’s reference of Pahalgam attack, Lone urges CM to call emergency Assembly session on statehood

Srinagar, Aug 14 (UNI) Kashmir’s ruling National Conference and Opposition Peoples Democratic Party today expressed their disappointment over Supreme Court’s reference to the Pahalgam terror attack, while discussing the grant of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

While PDP president Mehbooba Mufti today said the Supreme Court’s reference to the Pahalgam terror attack underscores the Government of India’s continued lack of confidence in the region’s stability, the NC chief spokesman Tanvir Sadiq said that people of the J&K should not be punished in for the Pahalgam terror attack.
