Navies of Russia, India complete joint drills 'Indra 2018'

Moscow, Dec 16 (UNI) The joint Russia-India naval drills 'Indra Navy 2018', which took place in the Bay of Bengal, off India's eastern coast, came to an end on Sunday, the press service of the Russian Pacific Fleet said.
During the exercise, the Russian and Indian sailors practiced joint tactical maneuvering, refueling vessels at sea and carrying out inspections of suspicious ships.
The sides also practiced firing artillery shells at various targets at sea and in the air; located a submarine of a hypothetical enemy and attacked it with rocket-propelled depth charges. The participants performed take-offs and landings of shipboard helicopters before finishing the drills with a naval battle.
