Natural products developed by CMFRI are for commercialisation: Gopalakrishnan

Kochi, Jan 23 (UNI) Many Natural products developed by the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) from the marine organisms are in pipeline for commercialisation, said CMFRI Director Dr A Gopalakrishnan.
Speaking at the Winter School inaugural session here on Tuesday, he said anti-microbial therapeutic product from marine bacteria as oral applicant and natural synthetic products derived from seaweeds as potential pharmacophores are some of the products developed by the CMFRI and were in pipeline for commercialisation.
“Development of several other nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products from marine organisms are in final phase and will be launched soon”, he added.
