National seminar on ‘Refrigeration & Cold Chain Solutions’ held in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Jan 22 (UNI) A daylong national seminar on ‘Refrigeration and Cold Chain Solutions Towards Sustainability’ was held in a city hotel on Wednesday.
Addressing the seminar ‘REFCON-2020’ organised by Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Pune, Kolhapur and Sangli chapter, Chetan Narke, advisor of Government of Thailand, originally from the city, talked about the scope and opportunities offered in refrigeration and the cold chain both at the national and international levels.
He asked technical experts, engineers and traders working in this sector to take benefits of these opportunities.

Mr Narke further said that the Thailand government was also focusing its attention on this sector in view of big opportunities available in exporting and storing of agricultural products and drugs.
He urged the students and researchers in this sector to share their technical knowledge with their international counterparts.

Nandkmar Matode, president of ISHRAE Pune chapter, and Suresh Patil, president of ISHRAE Kolhapur & Sangli chapter, also spoke on the occasion.
