National conference on Rule of Law to be held from Feb 20

Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) The second National Conference on Rule of Law organized by Foundation for Democratic Reforms (FDR), Indian Business School (ISB) and University of Hyderabad will be held virtually from February 20 to 28.
Announcing this at a press conference held at Press club here on Tuesday, Lok Satta Party National President Dr Jayaprakash Narayan said that the second edition of the Indian Democracy at Work (IDW) conference aimed to delve deep into the challenges plaguing our judicial system with the hope of converting meaningful conversations into definitive action.
A centralized and partisan police force, a feeble and inadequate prosecution, a slow and inefficient judiciary, and archaic and complex procedural laws that have collectively led to the failure of the Indian justice system will be the central theme of deliberate on in the conference, Dr Narayan said.
