National award for Ferozepur an indicator of changing societal attitudes : Aruna Chaudhary

Chandigarh, Jan 25 (UNI) Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary on Friday extended congratulations to the Ferozepur district administration on the occasion of district bagging the national award for considerably improving the sex ratio under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign.
In her congratulatory message, Ms Chaudhary said that during the year 2015-16 there were 859 girls to 1000 boys which has now improved in 2017-18 to 916 girls, and this positive trend is laudable.
The Minister also said that this honour under the effective engagement, is indicative of the changing attitudes of the society towards girls.
