Nation intensifies fight against Covid-19 surge, 'Tika Utsav' from today

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to intensify the Coronavirus vaccinations in the country, a 'Tika Utsav' (Vaccine festival) will begin across the country from Sunday.
On Thursday, PM had chaired a Covid review meeting with Chief Ministers amid the second wave of Covid-19.
"April 11 is Jyotiba Phule ji's birth anniversary and April 14 is Baba Saheb's birth anniversary, in the meantime let us all celebrate the 'Teeka Utsav'. We should make efforts to vaccinate more and more people during the vaccination festival," Mr Modi had said.
He also urged the young people to help those above 45 years in getting vaccinated.
During Thursday's interaction, The PM had also asked states to do all-party meetings with respective governors to create an actionable plan against Covid-19.
