Nashik farmers continue to protest Centre's onion exports ban

Nashik, Sep 17 (UNI) The onion growers seem to be highly unsettled over the Centre's ban on onion exports as another road-blockade protest was held here on Thursday, a day after when the agitations disrupted business at the APMCs of Lasalgaon and Satana on September 15.
Led by former Satana APMC Chairman Sanjay Sonawane, the farmers gathered at Dangsoundan-Kalvan road in Satana tehsil and demanded immediate rollback of the ban.
According to the agitators, the Centre's move has aggravated the woes of farmers already reeling under economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis.
